The concept of our yoga and surf retreats
The combination of yoga and surfing has been popular for a while – for pro-surfers yoga is already a set part of an holistic training. But also more and more yogis want to experience the mental and physical balance with nature and the element of water.
Our yoga and surf holidays are no closed group travels – our destinations always accomodate people who are independently on holiday and might connect less or not at all to yoga. This way we want to keep the atmosphere casual give you the opportunity to travel with friends or partners who might not be that much into yoga as you.
With our yoga and surf retreats we attract people who are looking for a path between the vastness of a club holiday and the remoteness of many yoga retreats. Core is to find the pleasure in the simplicity of life, happiness with beautiful nature, yoga and surfing, beach days, excellent food and wine, good conversations and great people.
The time between the yoga session is yours – there are many options to fill your day. As there are many participants travelling by themselves you can decide each day for yourself to hang out with others or spend some time for you – briefly said, everyone can do whatever the feel like.
Depending on the Yoga Retreat you can book Yoga and Surfing together or seperate from each other.

Destinations and Accommodation
Our destinations are mainly located at the European Atlantic coast, this part of Europe becomes more and more popular but you don’t find big hotel complexes or sunbeds. The yoga retreats take place only in the off-season so you benefit from lower prices but also empty beaches and less frequented sightseeing-spots. Of course the weather is not in our hands but we choose the period of the retreat that we have a very good chance of nice temperature and sun. However we still advice to bring some warm clothes for chilly evenings.
The accomodations differ a bit in their standards, so there are options for each budget. Whether it is a dorm or double room with own bath – the priority is always cleanliness and a nice atmosphere. Crucial for the places is the quality of the food: in the morning a large breakfast buffet is awaiting you, in the evening, depending on the place, you can prepare your own food or the chief will cook great meals, considering your nutrional habits (vegan/vegetarian) as well as allergic restrictions.
Common chill-out-places as well as a living room with fireplace create a very friendly ambience. As we mix with travellers not belonging to our yoga retreat the vibe reminds more of an individual trip with yoga rather than of an organized group holiday.
Yoga Classes
Yoga Classes
At the beginning of the retreat we gonna meet up together and talk about your questions and expectations to the week. Focus is to intensify your individual yoga practice. The input we created will be integrated into all of the yoga classes, so that everyone gets the chance to work and grow on their own challenges.
The classes are distributed as followed: five Vinyasa Flow classes in the morning (90 minutes), in the afternoon we switch between thre Yin Yoga and two Special classes. It has been proved so far that the Special classes take up the topics backbends and forward bends, but we are very open in the creation of these lessons and can vary it according to your questions.
Privates
There is always room for questions during our yoga retreats. In case you want to have an hour with the focus of your personal yoga practice we can arrange a private lesson on site (costs 60,- Euro/ hour).
